What two winners pay
With only two winners, just one of the 11 bets pays: the double that combines them. At short odds, that won't cover the stake:

Bigger prices change that quickly, because the double's odds are the two sets of odds multiplied together.
Each way Yankees
An each way Yankee is 22 bets: the 11 win bets plus the same 11 bets on the place part. Selections that only place still count towards the place doubles, trebles and fourfold, so you can get a return without a single winner as long as at least two selections place.
Yankee or Lucky 15?
A Lucky 15 is a Yankee plus four singles. The singles add four bets to the cost, but they mean one winner is enough for a return, and many bookmakers add bonuses to Lucky 15s that they don't offer on Yankees.
Common questions
How much does a Yankee cost?
Eleven times your stake, because it is 11 bets. A 50p Yankee costs £5.50 and a £1 Yankee costs £11. Each way doubles that to 22 bets.
What happens if one of my selections is a non-runner?
It is treated as void, with odds of 1. Doubles that include it are settled as singles, trebles as doubles and the fourfold as a treble, so the bet still pays out on the remaining selections.
What is a Super Yankee?
Another name for a Canadian: 26 bets on 5 selections, made up of 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 fourfolds and a fivefold.
